Ghosts, ghouls and goblins abound as Halloween time comes creeping around. Okay, so we’re a little past Halloween but we just couldn’t pass up these adorable costumes submitted during our 2nd Annual Virtual Halloween Costume Contest.
Participants were asked to post their outrageous outfits on the Give Kids The World Facebook page for a chance to win a fun filled GKTW prize package. Categories for the contest included most original, most humorous, most adorable and most frightening.
It was a difficult decision but we had to choose. Hats off to all of our winners!
Congratulations to Robin, our Most Original Halloween Costume Contest winner! This is her son Logan as Felix Baumgartner (the man who recently jumped from space) in his space capsule. Logan came to GKTW in 2009.
Congratulations to Stacey, our Most Humorous Halloween Costume Contest winner! Here is wish child Aidan as an Oompa Loompa.
Congratulations to Lauren, our Most Adorable Halloween Costume Contest winner sending in a picture of 3-year-old Elijah as “Max” from Where the Wild Things Are.
Congratulations to Julie, our Most Frightening Halloween Costume Contest winner for a photo of Autumn Schultz as a zombie bride.
And this year’s Honorable Mention goes to….
Anastayja dressed as Cinderella in her horse drawn carriage, which lights up and has a musical horse.
Anastayja’s costume was very popular with our Facebook fans and received an astounding 198,479 likes, 1,885 shares and 3,629 comments.
Wow, we’d say Anastayja wins for Most Popular belle of the ball for sure!
Thanks to everyone who participated! We’re already looking forward to next year’s contest.
Comment below and tell us about the costume you wore this year.
Remember, at GKTW Halloween is celebrated every week. So keep us in mind when you’re ready to share this year’s Halloween treats.
Halloween Candy Drive
October 31st has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean Halloween is over at Give Kids The World!
Every Monday, year round, the guests of GKTW can enjoy the spooky fun of a Halloween party with costumes, characters, and of course, trick or treating.
If you would like to help us with the “treats”, we are always accepting individually wrapped candy (no gum please) for our special guests.
So if you have too many “leftovers” from your October 31st haul, OR just wish to continue providing treats throughout the year, please drop off your donation at our Santa’s Workshop or House of Hearts. You can also send directly to the Village:
