On Wednesday, September 12, staff at GKTW hosted the Gingerbread Run 5K Kickoff Meeting to share fundraising tips leading up to the November 3 event and to celebrate the incredible supporters, from sponsors to the runners themselves.
Former wish child Ariangely and her family were also invited to speak, but, upon seeing the crowd (nearly 60 people!), Ariangely grew too shy to deliver the speech she had prepared. Luckily, we have the chance to share it with you here. We still think she’s a very brave girl.
Hi my name is Ariangely. I am 10 years old. Live in Kissimmee, FL since 2005. My family and I are really happy that Make-a-Wish Foundation (Central Florida) & Give Kids The World listen to my dream. Thanks for all people involved in living my dream vacation. Everything is like dreaming awake. Everybody is nice, listen to me and work hard to make me happy. They did make me super happy. Was the best part of all that no matter my conditions or limitation I have a blast of fun, meet Tinkerbell in her house in Magic Kingdom and dresses like her in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. In addition to that all places visit we were number one and I love it.
All my needs were taking care with extremely careful perfect Village, great food and desserts and also my wants like face painting, tattoo and beauty salon. Thanks. Thank you because in October 2011 I became the most beautiful princess on earth, because somebody listen to my dream and bring me and my family where the magic never stop, where you can breathe peace and have a lot of free and healthy entertainment.
Thanks for open your doors for us at any time. As a welcome back family, we have the privilege to visit again. Thanks for listen and help us.
