The holiday season is often referred to as the “Season of Giving,” and thanks to Chesapeake Hospitality, the season is in full swing at Give Kids The World.
Chesapeake Hospitality, one of the country’s fastest growing third-party hotel management companies, has graciously raised a total of $25,000 for the Village. This was made possible through various giving opportunities- including payroll deductions, cash donations and a variety of fundraising initiatives.
Several hotels took it upon themselves to add a creative flare to their fundraisers. The Crowne Plaza Houston held a Valentine’s Day campaign where team members sold delicious sweets, while the Hilton Wilmington visited their local Riverwalk with decorated ice cream push carts.
In September, the Village welcomed 20 hotel team members for a behind the scenes peek at the GKTW magic. Many felt that the trip was a life-changing experience and returned home with stories to share with fellow employees. The mission struck a chord with one hotel in particular, the Sheraton Louisville, where 100 percent of employees signed up for the payroll deduction program!
The generosity shown from more than 1,500 employees has been heartwarming, impressive and has nearly doubled last year’s donation! We are thankful for the continued efforts put forth by Chesapeake Hospitality. Their hard work embodies the spirit of the season.
