Make a splash with your very own fishy friends. This fun and easy craft is a great way to turn your room into an aquarium!
- 5 six-inch paper plates
- brightly colored acrylic paints
- a paintbrush
- 2 googly eyes
- craft glue
- a pencil
- printed fin pattern (Click here to open and print pattern.)
Print the fin pattern and cut out each piece. Set the pieces on two of the paper plates and use your pencil to outline their shape.
You will need two paper plates per fish. Use the extra fifth plate as your paint palate. Paint your fish in any colors or patterns you chose! Don’t worry about painting inside the lines of the fins. You will be cutting them out once they’re dry.
When you’re happy with your designs, let the paint dry. Once the paint is completely dry, carefully cut out the fins. Follow the pencil lines that show through the paint.
Use your craft glue to apply the fins and googly eyes. While you let the glue dry, think of names for your new fishy friends!
Congratulations! You are now ready to display your new friends. Use wall-friendly double sided tape or sticky tack to add them to a wall of your room.
