Magical Moment: Special Memories

This week’s Magical Moment is a collection of treasured moments as relayed to us on last month’s comment cards written by visiting families.

Each time we entered through the front gate our family was welcomed “home.”  Such a nice feeling!

Having that video camera meant a lot. I treasure that video.

I believe the Village must have a lot of people praying for it because we sensed such peace there.

Coming home every day to the genuine joy and giving hearts of the Village staff and volunteers.

You made us feel normal again.  No stares, no judging, no questions, no making us uncomfortable.

Every child -wish child and siblings- are all treated as the most special child in the Village.

The children really, really, really loved the Playground.  He was very excited to see “Tyler’s Mailbox” and loved writing a letter to God.

All the information provided to help us during our stay was great!  Thank you for putting together such a detailed guide book

The pictures!  We are so happy to have so many special memories to take home with us.

I wish I could take my villa home with me.

We ordered a lot from Katie’s Kitchen.  Service was great!

If everyone acted like the volunteers, the world would be an even more amazing place.

Not only did you make Payten’s stay special, you all included the other kiddos and made them feel special also.

The Guest Assistance Passes at Disney and Universal were wonderful to have! Not having to wait in line and being able to enjoy the rides was awesome.

It meant so much for us to be told by an older gentleman that we, as parents, are special and loved just as much as our kids.

The one thing that made our time here special was the love and generosity of the many volunteers.  Their caring and thoughtful service is truly the hallmark of this wonderful place.

Faith is almost 4 years old and this is the first time all four of us were together outside a hospital just having fun.

I can’t say enough (again) about the characters. How great and stress free to have them at the Village.

I really enjoyed the tuck-in with Mayor Clayton, his playful energy made all of us smile from ear to ear.

I particularly like visiting the Castle of Miracles and the fact that when we visit we can see Nadia’s star and remember all the fun we’ve had.

Give Kids the World makes us feel like we are at home and are part of their family.

Kid’s Night Out was such a special treat for the adults.

The Village Guide was amazing.  It was a great tool to find everything!

For one week we were together, with no worries of work, no pressure. It brought us closer.  Eating together as a family was priceless.

It is so nice that the characters come to visit!

Our children loved being able to “fast pass” at the theme parks.

My daughters said their favorite place was the Village – even over Disney World!

From beginning to end, our family received first class treatment.  Several times when I thanked volunteers they said, “No, thank you, it is my privilege to do this for you.”

The general friendliness of all the staff and volunteers. This attitude made us feel our presence in the Village was very welcomed.

We can’t express what a truly life changing experience this has been for our family.  We are so blessed to have been chosen to stay here.
