
Shannon Gravitte

Shannon Gravitte serves as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for AdventHealth, one of the largest, not-for-profit, faith-based, health care systems in the United States, headquartered in Central Florida. As part of the senior leadership team, Gravitte sets the overall direction and strategy for AdventHealth's government and community advocacy efforts at the federal, state and local level.
In addition to her leadership role in advocacy, Shannon is responsible for building stakeholder relationships to advance key AdventHealth priorities, including community health needs activation, sustainability, industry positioning and workforce development. AdventHealth Florida encompasses 15 counties across the state and is comprised of 54 hospitals and off-site emergency departments, led by 63,000 team members caring for more than five million patient visits per year.
With more than 30 years of experience in public affairs, Gravitte brings a depth of understanding of the critical integration of health care with social responsibility. Her previous experience includes Vice President of Government and Community Affairs for Mears Transportation and Director of the Florida office of Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Inc. Her public sector work includes serving as senior advisor to former Congressman and Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, and former Orlando Mayor and Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood. Earlier in her career, she directed local and state governmental affairs for Universal Orlando and served five years as a Capitol Hill press secretary.
Gravitte currently serves as Chair of the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness; on the Executive Committee and Board of the Orlando Economic Partnership; on the Board of Directors of Give Kids the World; and on the Board of Directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Leadership Florida and also serves as a founding member of the University of Central Florida Downtown Advisory Board. She is the proud mom of three adult children, and she and her husband, Ed, reside in Orlando.
